Stefon Diggs misses practice Friday for 'precautionary' reasons

If Diggs doesn't play Sunday the Vikings will be down another marquee starter.

Fewer than 36 hours after Adrian Peterson, Matt Kalil and Sharrif Floyd all had surgeries to repair injuries, hearing news of wide receiver Stefon Diggs missing practice Friday is not what the Vikings need.

But that's the case today as Diggs didn't practice, with head coach Mike Zimmer saying Diggs was held out for precautionary reasons but he's confident he'll play Sunday at Carolina.

Diggs is fresh off a huge game against the Packers where his 9 catches for 182 yards and a touchdown earned him the NFC Offensive Player of the Week award.

Diggs hasn't been on the injury report at all this week so his absence Friday came as a complete surprise.
