Minnesota Timberwolves 103
Miami Heat 91
Ricky Rubio was back on the floor for the Timberwolves and the Wolves found themselves back in the win column by beating the Miami Heat 103-91 Tuesday night in Miami.
1. Wolves bench scoring
Minnesota's bench led the way, especially early in the contest as they helped to spark a big run in the late stages of the first quarter and early portions of the second quarter to get back into the game.
Shabazz Muhammad highlighted the performance. He finished with 16 points on 6-of-8 shooting.
2. The Hassan Whiteside factor
The Miami big man continues to be a one-man wrecking crew inside. Whiteside had a triple-double, scoring 22 points, grabbing 14 rebounds and blocking 10 shots.
His presence paid dividends for the rest of the Miami starters. Luol Deng added 20 points and Gorann Dragic added 16.
