Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson was voted fifth in NFL Networks countdown of "Top 100 Players of 2016" on Wednesday night. It was the fifth time in six years Peterson was selected inside the top 10.
The entire list is compiled by NFL players. Peterson was the highest ranked running back and the top player inside the NFC North division; one spot ahead of Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers.
The former NFL MVP won the rushing title last season, running for 1,485 yards and 11 touchdowns. Peterson's teammates, Harrison Smith (No. 73) and Linval Joseph (No. 76) also made the list.
Cam Newton was selected No. 1, with Tom Brady, J.J. Watt and Antonio Brown topping out the list.
