Augustus returns to lift Lynx over Mystics

The Minnesota Lynx defeated the Washington Mystics on Friday night, in their return to Target Center, 75-65.

It was a big game for the Lynx, who had lost three of four coming into Friday night's game.

Minnesota held Washington to 35-percent shooting on the night. 

Seimone Augustus returned to the lineup for Minnesota. She was a game time decision, but made a big impact. Augustus scored 19 points on 9 of 14 shooting.

Augustus had missed Wednesday's game for the Lynx with knee bursitis.

Maya Moore led the Lynx. She posted another double-double, as she scored 20 points and grabbed 10 rebounds.

Lindsay Whalen added 12 points and dished out seven assists. Kara Lawson led the Mystics, off the bench, with 14 points.

While Bria Hartley and Kia Vaughn each had 10.

Trailing 11-10 in the first quarter, the Lynx unleashed a 25-7 run, from that point until about they were four minutes into the second quarter. That run, included a 15-2 run to start the second quarter.

The Lynx (10-4) host Indiana on Sunday.
