Backstrom hopes for more success against Oilers

Niklas Backstrom left tonight's game in Montreal in the first period with an injury. The Wild's goalie was helped off the ice after making a routine save. Backstrom had a difficult time putting weight on his left side.

Niklas Backstrom will start for the first time since October 27 when the Wild meet the Flames in Calgary Tuesday night. Josh Harding has started in goal and led the Wild on their current four game winning streak. Harding says he understands because Backstrom is Minnesota's "go-to-guy."

Yeo sticking with Harding against Vancouver

Josh Harding will start in goal Thursday night when the Wild host the Vancouver Canucks. Niklas Backstrom is still the starter, but head coach Mike Yeo wants to stick with the hot hand. Harding is coming off back-to-back wins over the Red Wings.
