Whether you just drafted him or had him in your keeper/dynasty league, today's news about Steelers running back Le'Veon Bell is bad news for fantasy football owners.
Multiple reports say Bell is likely going to be suspended the first four games of the season for violating the league's substance abuse policy. Ian Rapoport says Bell will be suspended for failing to take drug tests.
Bell missed the majority of last season after suffering a knee injury, so there's already plenty of nerves for fantasy owners wondering if he'll return to his star level. As for being suspended, this isn't Bell's first rodeo. He was suspended the first three games of last season for violating the substance-abuse policy after being arrested for marijuana possession and DUI.
He appealed that ruling and got his suspension reduced to two games.
If Bell doesn't win this appeal, the Steelers will turn to backup running backs DeAngelo Williams and Fitzgerald Toussaint, according to Pro Football Talk.
