Berrian will be back in the lineup Sunday

Bernard Berrian is expected to be back in the Vikings' lineup this weekend against the Chicago Bears. The wide receiver was benched during Sunday's win over the Cardinals. Head coach Leslie Frazier says he doesn't "foresee any future problems" from Berrian.

Berrian says benching is 'old news'

After practice Wednesday, Vikings wide receiver Bernard Berrian was pressed for answers as to why he was deactivated last week against Arizona. Berrian refused to shed light on why he was benched and said it was old news and he didn’t want to talk about the past.

Bearing with Bernard Berrian

Vikings receiver Bernard Berrian called and apologized to Minnesota Representative John Kriesel following a Twitter exchange between the two. Kriesel started the exchange by criticizing Berrian's claims that he's always open. In response, Berrian told Kriesel to 'sit down and shut up.' What Berrian didn't know is that Kriesel is an avid Vikings fan in support of a new stadium. He's also a war veteran that lost both legs in combat.

Frazier: Bernard Berrian's deactivation isn't a political one

Coach Leslie Frazier says receiver Bernard Berrian was deactivated as a 'coach's decision' and had nothing to do with his well-publicized Twitter battle with state Rep. John Kriesel. Although he didn't offer specifics, Frazier suggested the decision was a locker room issue.

Interior design company drops lawsuit on Bernard Berrian

A week ago the Vikings cut Bernard Berrian, now the wide receiver is being sued by an interior design company. Berrian allegedly hasn't payed up on $204,000 worth of interior design work done on his 20th floor penthouse in the Ivy Tower in Minneapolis.

Missed meetings reportedly behind Berrian benching

Most of the speculation about Coach Leslie Frazier's reason for benching receiver Bernard Berrian focused on poor play or a Twitter dust-up with a state lawmaker. It turns out a failure to make it to team meetings may have been the real impetus.

Berrian issues statement after being released by the Vikings

After being deactivated as a healthy scratch two of the last three weeks, the Vikings cut Bernard Berrian Tuesday. Afterward, Berrian issued a statement on his website saying he was blessed to have played in Minnesota for three-and-a-half years, and that he views this as an opportunity to grow as a player and bring his strengths to a new organization.
