Big Ten could drop Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl from its lineup

It appears the Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl in Tempe, Ariz., won't be part of the Big Ten's new six-year bowl lineup that begins in 2014, ESPN reports. A lower payout from the bowl is the main reason why.

The Big Ten expects to finalize its agreements in the next few weeks.

The Business Journal notes the Golden Valley-based beer-and-wings chain landed its first college bowl game last December.

CBSSports.com says officials with the Wings Bowl are negotiating with other conferences like the Big 12 and Pac-12.

Earlier this year, Buffalo Wild Wings became one of just 15 NCAA corporate partners.
