Bison look to deflate No. 13 Gophers

North Dakota State is at Williams Arena for a non-conference matchup with the No. 13 Golden Gophers tonight.

Last year, the Bison almost upset the Gophers, losing 63-59, as Ralph Sampson III and Rodney Williams combined for 29 points in the victory.

This year, the Bison (8-2) are tough again, with a 6-2 record against Divison I teams. According to the FromTheBarn blog on FoxSports.com: "The Gophers won’t be able to waltz in expecting to win be merely making an appearance."

Minnesota will likely need to beat the Bison tonight --- and Lafayette on Dec. 22 --- to sneak into the Associated Press Top 10. After Lafayette, we’ll get a clearer picture of how good the Gophers are with the Big 10 schedule starting New Year’s Eve against No. 19 Michigan State.
