The Minnesota Wild has lost two of its last three games since rattling off seven straight wins.

St. Louis skated past the Wild, 4-1 at Xcel Energy Center Monday night. It's the second time the Blues have beaten the Wild this season.

Minnesota fell behind early when Jaden Schwartz scored for St. Louis midway through the first period. Dany Heatley's 10th goal of the season tied the game at one early in the second, but that's all the Wild would get.

Andy McDonald and Kevin Shattenkirk put the Blues back up by two with goals less than two minutes after later in the second period. The visitors would add another goal in the final minute of the game.

Niklas Backstrom took the loss in goal. It's the first time the Wild has lost a game with Backstrom in net since a March 12 home loss to Anaheim. Backstrom had won eight straight starts.
