Another exciting update from Vikings quarterback Teddy Bridgewater.

It's been nearly 11 months since Teddy Bridgewater suffered the knee injury that ended his 2016 season, and on Friday he talked publicly about his road back to the NFL.

"As training camp approaches, I just want to make sure that I'm getting myself mentally prepared and physically prepared," Bridgewater told ESPN 106.3 in West Palm Beach, Florida.

In the seven minutes and change that Bridgewater was on the show that's the only thing he said about his status. My guess is that Bridgewater agreed to do the interview as long as the hosts didn't press him for info about his knee and status going into the 2017 season.

That said, Bridgewater and the Vikings will report to training camp in Mankato next week, and only time will tell if Bridgewater is working out with the team or stuck on a side field continuing to rehab his way back.

Saw @teddyb_h2o rehab vid and got wayyy more excited than I should pry admit..

So logically I remade one of those old "Pick Me" FF videos.. pic.twitter.com/KuGgWsqweQ

Bridgewater did give a nice shoutout to his mother for inspiring him to continue fighting his way back.

"It's been a huge inspiration," said Bridgewater, explaining how strong his mom was during her fight against breast cancer. "Her experience gave me a positive outlook on anything that I go through. I saw her at her lowest point in life where she lost of all of her, her fingernails turned black, she couldn't get out of the bed to use the restroom. For me, it opened my eyes. When I was injured it told me hey, there's someone out there going through something 10 times worse that what I'm going through so I have two options: Stay down and just give up or I can fight this. I come from a background of fighters. My mom, she fought breast cancer and she instilled that fight in me. She motivated me in many many ways."
