Bulldogs split series with North Dakota

Minnesota Duluth (19-7-4 and 13-6-3 in WCHA) snapped a two-game losing streak Saturday night in Duluth with a 5-4 victory to split the weekend series against UND (16-11-2 and 12-10). Senior forward Jack Connolly netted two goals and had three assists for the third-ranked Bulldogs. UMD men's hockey travels to Mankato next weekend.

UMD Bulldogs sport Mohawks for playoff push

The UMD Bulldogs are up to another hair-raising stunt heading into WCHA playoffs. The Duluth News-Tribune reports they all got Mohawks for team unity. Last year, the ‘Dogs all dyed their hair blond -- and won the NCAA title.

The NCAA hockey tournament is right around the corner and making the field will be challenging for most teams, but not the Gophers and UMD Bulldogs. Both look like locks to make the field of 16, even if they don't receive an automatic bid by winning the WCHA Final Five.
