'Business as usual': NDSU is unanimous No. 1 in top 25 coaches poll

In the story of the day that's no surprise to anyone, the reigning five-time national champion NDSU Bison are No. 1 in the preseason top 25 coaches poll.

NDSU rolled over Jacksonville State 37-10 to win its fifth straight national title last season, and their loaded roster – minus No. 2 overall NFL Draft pick Carson Wentz – received all 25 first-place votes in the coaches poll. They also took 152 of 158 first-place votes in the preseason STATS top 25 poll.

"To me, it's business as usual," head coach Chris Klieman told NCAA.com on Monday. "Stay humble, stay hungry. We've got a long ways to go. What you did yesterday is great, but it pales in comparison to what you can do today. 2015 was dynamite; it's a new season, a new team and our goal is the same as it's always going to be and has been for a long time — be in the position to compete for the Missouri Valley Conference championship."

NDSU opens the season Aug. 27 at home against No. 7-ranked Charleston Southern.
