GREEN BAY, Wis. -- We won't get too football nerdly with this post, but here are three stats you can't ignore coming out of Sunday's Vikings-Packers game -- which went Green Bay's way, 23-14:
That's how many yards Adrian Peterson has this season in the NFL. Of those, 947 have come in the past six games, in which the Vikings have gone 2-4. Incredibly, after Sunday's game, Peterson tried to take part of the blame for the loss.
Last week, the Bears held the ball for 37 minutes, 30 seconds. That keeps Adrian Peterson off the field. This week, the Packers held the ball for a minute longer. The killer was an 11-minute Green Bay drive that ate up much of the fourth quarter.
That's how many sacks Jared Allen has on Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers in his career, including 1.5 he picked up Sunday. Through 12 games, Allen leads the team in that category again with 8.5 -- despite playing much of the season with a partially torn labrum in his shoulder.
