Vikings fans will have to wait a little longer to see Teddy Bridgewater's return to the field.
Mike Zimmer confirmed Wednesday that following his strong performance against Washington Sunday, Case Keenum will keep his place as starting QB.
When asked how the deliberations were, Zimmer responded with typical curtness, saying: "Not difficult."
Keenum will be facing the team he left at the end of last season.
He was named the Rams' starting quarterback in 2016, playing in 10 games where he threw for 2,201 yards, 9 TDs and 11 interceptions.
He's coming off one of the best games by a quarterback this season, throwing 4 touchdowns as the Vikings won 38-30 in Washington. (Though his two interceptions helped the Redskins stay in the game.)
According to ESPN's QBR rankings, Keenum has two of the seven best games by a quarterback in 2017. His Redskins performance is No. 2 on the list, and his 369-yard, 3-touchdown game against Tampa Bay is No. 7.
Sunday's performance saw Keenum named a finalist for the FedEx Air Player of the Week.
