Chargers make move to Los Angeles official, showcase new logo
The Chargers are bolting San Diego for Los Angeles, the relocation becoming official Thursday morning in a letter from Chargers owner Dean Spanos.
With the move to L.A. the Chargers are changing their lightning bolt logo. The new look is somewhat similar to the Los Angeles Dodgers, but the Chargers' L has a lightning bolt bottom.
“Our ultimate goal is to bring L.A. a Super Bowl championship,” said John Spanos, President of Football Operations, in a statement. “When we say we will fight for L.A., this is the essence of our pledge."
The Chargers will play in the 30,000-seat StubHub Center, which Pro Football Talk thinks will give fans an immediate, intimate experience before they begin sharing a new stadium with the Rams in 2019.
