Fans will have a pair of opportunities to see the Minnesota Wild practice during training camp this season.

Wild training camp opens on Friday this week and believe it or not, the first preseason game on the calendar is scheduled for Monday at Xcel Energy Center against the Buffalo Sabres.

The first open practice, which are free to the public, is this Saturday at 9:30 a.m. inside Xcel Energy Center. Minnesota has a two-day stretch where it will practice at AMSOIL Arena in Duluth Sept. 29-30, with the practice on the 30th also open to the public.

According to the University of Minnesota Duluth, this is the third time in five years the Wild will practice at AMSOIL Arena, having done so previously in 2011 and 2013.

The Wild return the vast majority of last year's team, which finished with 100 points and advanced to the second round of the NHL playoffs.
