College Hockey Roundup: No. 3 Huskies pick up road win in Omaha

St. Cloud State University picked up a big road win in Omaha, beating the University of Nebraska-Omaha 4-1, Friday night.

Joey Benik scored a pair of third period goals to break open the game and lead the No. 3 Huskies to the victory.

SCSU goaltender Charlie Lindgren stopped 32 shots, the only goal he surrendered was a first period goal to Mason Morelli.

Robby Jackson had a goal and an assist in the victory for St. Cloud.

The series continues Saturday night in Omaha.

North Dakota holds off Minnesota Duluth

Austin Poganski scored on a penalty shot in overtime to give North Dakota a 2-1 victory over Minnesota Duluth Friday night in Grand Forks.

It was Poganski's eighth goal of the season. The shot came off a 10 minute game misconduct penalty called on UMD's Neal Pionk.

North Dakota goaltender Cam Johnson stopped 32 shots in the victory.

The series will continue on Saturday in Grand Forks.

Bitzer, Bemidji State shut out Michigan Tech

Bemidji State goaltender Michael Bitzer stopped all 26 shots he faced as Bemidji State shutout Michigan Tech 3-0 Friday night in Bemidji.

Brendan Harms had a pair of goals and Justin Baudry added a pair of assists in the Beaver victory.

The series continues Saturday night in Bemidji.
