Coon Rapids-Andover Little Leauge team falls one run short of Williamsport

Three errors and only three hits did in the Coon Rapids-Andover Little League team today, coming out on the wrong end of a 3-2 final against Urbandale, Iowa, who advance out of the Midwest region to the Little League World Series in Williamsport, PA.

Urbandale plated the winning run over the Minnesota side in the sixth and final inning on a wild pitch in the Midwest final, and earn their trip to Williamsport, widely considered the mecca of youth baseball.

Coon Rapids-Andover had won five games in a row to get to the last test before Williamsport, but the 3-2 final leaves them one game short.

The LLWS pits the best Little League teams from all over the world against each other to crown one champion, and begins August 15 with the championship game being played on the 25th.
