Derek Jeter is retiring at the end of the 2014 MLB season. The Yankee great will go down in history for reaching 3,000 career hits, winning five Gold Gloves, being named an All-Star 13 times and playing more games than any player in Yankees history, among a variety of other reasons.

He'll also likely be a first-ballot Hall of Fame inductee. We did a piece on Jeter's career against the Twins. To no one's surprise, he has killed the Twins for nearly 20 years. Check out that profile right here.

As storied as his career is on the field, it's just as storied off the field. ESPN's "Sportsnation" paid tribute to "Captain Clutch" with this "Derek Jeter's Dating Diamond" graphic. It's an impressive list of celebrities and models Jeter has dated.

Jeter is considered one of the classiest athletes on the planet, but in 2011 the New York Post received a tip from a woman alleging she received a gift basket from Jeter after spending the night at his Trump Tower loft.

“Derek has girls stay with him at his apartment in New York, and then he gets them a car to take them home the next day. Waiting in his car is a gift basket containing signed Jeter memorabilia, usually a signed baseball,” the friend dished.

“This summer, he ended up hooking up with a girl who he had hooked up with once before, but Jeter seemed to have forgotten about the first time and gave her the same identical parting gift, a gift basket with a signed Derek Jeter baseball,” the pal said.

“He basically gave her the same gift twice because he’d forgotten hooking up with her the first time!”
