Day 3 at The Open: Stenson pulls one stroke ahead of Mickelson

Henrick Stenson (-12) shot 3 under 68 on Saturday at the British Open, putting him in first place heading to Sunday's championship round. Phil Mickelson (-11) shot 1 under 70 and is within one stroke from being back in the lead.

Stenson took the lead with a birdie on hole 17, while Mickelson dropped a bogey on the same hole. Bill Haas -6, Andrew Johnston -5 and JB Holmes -4 round off the top 5 leaderboard.

Such notables as: Dustin Johnson, Jason Day, Jordan Spieth and Rory Mcllroy have struggled so far with Johnson sitting the highest of four in 13th place at 1 under.

Day and Mcllroy are inside the top 25 but Spieth has had problems all weekend long and sits in 50th place, shooting 5 over through the first three rounds.
