Day one of Wild training camp in the books

The Minnesota Wild held the first practice of training camp on Thursday. The team heads back to the Xcel Energy Center on Friday before hosting a practice and scrimmage, both open to the public, on Saturday and Sunday.

DANY HEATLEY LOOKS GOOD: "I don't think you have to look too hard to realize he's gained a step, at least," head coach Mike Yeo told the Pioneer Press. "He's moving really well out there, so I'm excited."

NEW SYSTEM: Chad Graff writes that the Wild is focusing on puck possession this season. Yeo says puck possession is key, and becoming a better team off the rush will be huge goals this season.
