Ducks defeat Wild, 3-2

The Anaheim Ducks defeated the Wild 3-2 Thursday night at Xcel Energy Center. It’s Minnesota’s fourth loss in their last five games, and they’ve failed to score more than two goals in six straight games. Jared Spurgeon and Matt Cullen scored for the Wild.

The Wild snap their two-game losing streak with a win over Anaheim. A three-goal outburst in the first period gave Minnesota all they offense they would need. With the win, the Wild jump ahead of Edmonton for first place in the Northwest Division.

Revamped Wild first line goes Duck hunting

Going into tonight's game against Anaheim, Wild head coach Mike Yeo is moving Cal Clutterbuck on the top line with Dany Heatley and Mikko Koivu. Yeo hopes Clutterbuck’s physical play will create space, and ultimately create more goals. The Wild haven't won in regulation since the Oct. 8 season opener.

Wild collapses again in loss to Ducks

The Minnesota Wild found a way to lose again on Tuesday night. A dominant first two periods from goalie Josh Harding, coupled with a goal from Dany Heatley, wasn't enough as Anaheim scored twice in the third period to earn the win. The Wild is now 5-21 in its last 26 games.
