ESPN projection: Gophers football team going to bowl game on New Year's Day

After beating the Purdue Boilermakers 44-28 on Saturday, the Minnesota Golden Gophers are now only one victory away from becoming bowl eligible. ESPN's bowl projections have the Gophers slated to play SMU in the Heart of Dallas Bowl (formerly named TicketCity Bowl) on News Years Day, the Star Tribune reports.
