Ex-Gopher Eric Decker's hot start slowed by knee injury

Eric Decker caught 8 passes for 97 yards and a touchdown to help the New York Jets somewhat stun the Colts in Indianapolis 20-7 Monday night.

Decker, however, didn't come out of the game healthy.

" target="_blank">According to the New York Daily News, the Cold Spring, Minnesota, native suffered a sprained PCL in his knee and is expected to miss some time. How much time is unknown, but the injury isn't expected to require surgery.

Decker already has a pair of touchdown grabs and 10 receptions in two games this season. He had a down year in 2014 after averaging 86 receptions, 1,176 yards and 12 touchdowns the previous two seasons with the Denver Broncos, according to ESPN.

Meanwhile, Decker is on double daddy duty as he and his country music star wife, Jessie James Decker, welcomed their second child to the world about two weeks ago.

“It’s so different, having two compared to one, because the dynamic is so crazy,” Decker told People.
