The Atlanta Falcons have cut former Vikings defensive end Ray Edwards. Edwards, who signed a five-year, $27.5 million contract last season, totaled just 3.5 sacks in 25 games with Atlanta -- and none this year.

The Atlanta Falcons have cut former Vikings defensive end Ray Edwards. Edwards, who signed a five-year $27.5 million contract last season, totaled just 3.5 sacks in 25 games with Atlanta.

Edwards has dealt with chronic knee injuries, so it's not quite as funny when pointing out Edwards' 2008 claim that he would break the NFL single season sack record. Ummm, nevermind. It's still just as funny.
