Chewing tobacco ban lifted at Target Field

For the first time in Target Field history fans will be allowed to use smokeless tobacco inside the stadium. Chewing tobacco was banned for the first two seasons, but the Twins found "it not to be an issue", according to team spokesman Kevin Smith.

Target Field going 100 percent smoke-free

Target Field will be a 100 percent smoke-free facility starting Friday. Last season, fans were allowed to smoke on the promenade outside of left field. On top of the smoking ban, fans won't be allowed to return inside Target Field if they leave the stadium for a cigarette.

Target Field likely host of 2014 All-Star game

Commissioner of Major League Baseball Bud Selig still hasn't confirmed if the Minnesota Twins will be awarded the 2014 All-Star Game. However, Selig told the Pioneer Press Tuesday, "They've made a very good bid, and everybody knows how I feel about the Twin Cities. That's the only hint I'll give." Selig is expected to make an official announcement soon.
