Female monster truck driver with Minnesota ties brings pink 'Madusa' to Dome

Publish date:

Monster truck driver Debrah Miceli, who grew up in Minneapolis, will roar the massive "Pink Madusa" rig into the Metrodome for fans Saturday at the "Advance Auto Parts Monster Jam."

It's not easy being "The Queen of Carnage" on the male-dominated monster truck circuit, and her truck in the past has been sabotaged, she tells the Pioneer Press. But Miceli said he is eager to "tear up the Metrodome" and maybe try a backflip in her truck, the newspaper reports.

Miceli, 48, is also renown a former pro wrestler, known to fans as Madusa and Alundra Blayze. She honed her survival instincts at an early age while moving from foster home to foster home growing up in Minneapolis, she said in an interview in the Winnepeg Sun. She initially set her sights on being a nurse, but longed for fame, she said.
