Fore! Duck can't duck tee shot on 18th at TPC Sawgrass

In one of the most unlikely accidents ever, a duck gets struck by a golf ball mid-air at TPC Sawgrass.

In golf scoring, avian creature names are common. A la birdies, eagles and the ever rare albatross.

Sadly, golf shows no love for the duck.

Amateur golfer Ryan Gray's tee shot on the 18th hole at TPC Sawgrass, where The Players Championship will take place this week, accidentally smashed right into an unfortunate duck mid-air – and the video has gone viral.

Warning: this video is pretty upsetting – and features some profanity.

This sad fate for the duck reminded me of another incident, when hall of famer Randy Johnson had an unfortunate mid-air incident involving a bird and a baseball. Again, warning: slightly graphic.
