    Vikings coach Leslie Frazier says the offensive line has to do a better job protecting quarterback Christian Ponder, and Ponder has to play better as well. But when it comes to benching Ponder for Joe Webb: No chance, right now.

    After a 63-yard passing day, Vikings fans are wondering if coach Leslie Frazier will pull the plug on Christian Ponder in favor of backup Joe Webb. Today, Frazier said he never considered benching Ponder-- not even for a series -- in yesterday’s loss to Seattle. Frazier admits the second-year quarterback has to play better -- and it wouldn’t hurt if he got more protection from the offensive line.
