Don Lucia's Golden Gophers hockey team improved to 3-0 with a 5-4 overtime win over the defending national champion UMD Bulldogs. Sophomore winger Nate Condon scored the game winner with under a minute to play in the overtime period.

UMD men's hockey tie Michigan Tech

The No. 1-ranked Bulldogs (17-4-4 and 11-3-3 in WCHA) hosted Michigan Tech Friday night. UMD had a four point lead in the first period, but had to settle for a 4-4 tie. The Huskies (11-12-2 and 8-7-2) scored three goals in the third period to tie it up. The teams face-off again Saturday night in Duluth.
