With running back Donnell Kirkwood still nursing a sprained ankle, backup Rodrick Williams will start in his place Saturday against New Mexico State.

Kirkwood is listed as questionable on the injury report, while backup Berkley Edwards is out for the Gophers second game. Here is the full injury report and depth chart for the contest.

Williams carried the ball four times for 13 yards in the Gophers opener against UNLV, fifth on the team in rushing. David Cobb rushed six times for 69 yards to pace the Gophers, and Cobb is expected to share carries with Williams with Kirkwood's status still up in the air.

It's a 7 p.m. kickoff from Aggie Memorial Stadium, here's a full preview to get you ready for the action.
