Gophers' Derrick Wells named Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week

Golden Gophers safety Derrick Wells was named the Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week for his performance in Minnesota's season opener against UNLV last week. Wells had two interceptions, including one that set up the Gophers' winning score in triple overtime.
