Gophers freshman basketball player Wally Ellenson will miss six-to-eight weeks after breaking his left hand on Tuesday. Head coach Tubby Smith planned on playing the freshman, but is now undecided if he'll redshirt him for the season.

The son of head coach Tubby Smith was arrested for DUI last week. Athletic director Norwood Teague says Smith will undergo alcohol counseling and apologize to the team.
