Gophers' Erik Haula used World Juniors to gain Wild's attention
Gophers' sophomore forward Erik Haula was drafted by the Minnesota Wild in the seventh round of the 2009 NHL Draft. After being drafted, Haula's performance at the 2010 World Juniors opened the eyes of the Wild. Now he's one of the top-scoring sophomore's in the country.
Haula returning to Gophers next year
Erik Haula will return to the Gophers for his junior season, according to head coach Don Lucia. Haula led Minnesota in scoring last season. Kyle Rau and Nate Schmidt will also return next season. Lucia says "if everybody comes back, we should be be a very good team next year."
