Gophers lose to Michigan Tech in overtime

Brett Olson scored the game winning goal in overtime and Michigan Tech defeated the Gophers 3-2 at Mariucci Arena tonight. Seth Helgeson and Mark Alt scored for the Gophers, but they were the only two Gophers to get a shot past Tech’s goalie Josh Robinson, who stopped 34 of 36 shots.

Gophers celebrate overtime victory

The Gophers (16-6, 4-5 Big Ten) surged pass Illinois Saturday night. Minnesota defeated the Fighting Illini 77-72 in overtime at Williams Arena. The Gophers were looking for redemption after losing to Illinois in double-overtime a month ago. Minnesota travels to Iowa City on Wednesday.
