The Minnesota Gophers are off to their hottest start in years, and point guard Nate Mason says the team is setting some lofty goals for the season.

In an interview with the Big Ten Network, Mason says the Gophers have set a long-term goal of winning the conference.

The Gophers (15-2, 3-1 in the Big Ten) are ranked No. 24 heading into Wednesday night's game at Michigan State. Minnesota's lone defeat in Big Ten play came at the hands of Michigan State just two weeks ago.

The Spartans have won 4-of-their-last 5.
