The Twins two game winning streak came to an end with a 4-1 loss to the Rangers. Anthony Swarzak pitched seven solid innings but took the loss. The Rangers elected to close the game with Alexi Ogando over Joe Nathan, which immediately created a closer controversy.

Justin Morneau was the only bright spot for the Twins, hitting 4-4 with a home run. The loss in the Twins' fifth in a row, and 14th in the last 16 games.

Joe Nathan signs two-year deal with Rangers

Joe Nathan has signed with the Texas Rangers. The two-year deal is worth approximately $14.5 million and includes a team option for 2014. Nathan, the Twins' all-time saves leader, spent seven seasons in Minnesota.
