A sixth straight trip to the playoffs can be secured by the Minnesota Wild as soon as tonight.
According to Wild media relations maven Aaron Sickman, all the Wild have to do is beat the Oilers tonight and have the Avalanche lose in regulation to the Kings.
Colorado's points maximum is 99 points while St. Louis can reach 100 points if it wins all four of its remaining games.
Minnesota currently has 96 points with four games to go.
The puck drops in St. Paul in the Wild's last regular season home game at 7:10 p.m.
The Wild finish the season with three straight West Coast road games against the Ducks (Wednesday), Kings (Thursday) and Sharks (Saturday).
