DETROIT -- Chris Herrmann's two-out, eighth-inning double drove in the go-ahead run, giving the Twins a 7-6 win over the Tigers Thursday at Comerica Park.

Minnesota had a 6-3 lead in the bottom of the sixth, but Detroit's Austin Jackson tied it with a three-run homer.

Earlier, Minnesota's Ryan Doumit blasted a three-run homer off starter Justin Verlander to give the Twins a 5-2 lead at the time.

With the win, the Twins took two of three from the Tigers, bouncing back from a rough 2-5 homestand.

Up next, a weekend series in Cleveland, featuring the return of Liam Hendriks to the starting rotation. He takes over for Kyle Gibson, who was sent down to Class AAA Rochester.
