We're closing in on the big day, and our 12 Days of Christmas special is still going strong.

Instead of using gifts, we’re using GIFS. You know, those animated clips that highlight the best few seconds of a video. The sports world was filled with dramatic, painful and humorous GIFS this year, and we’ll unveil one new GIF every day between now and Christmas.

Only three GIFS remain before we introduce our favorite on Christmas day. Hint: It has a little something to do with butterflies.

Sing along if you wish…

On the ninth day of Christmas the sports world gave to me, a baseball player eating a disgusting treat.

That is Pirates starting pitcher Gerrit Cole sitting alone in the dugout enjoying a delightful treat.

We're not sure what's scarier, the fact that Cole digs a booger out of his nose and eats it, or that a screwdriver is stuck in the bench right next to him.

The video of Cole's snack time adventure takes the event further, where Cole seems to spit the treat out of his mouth.
