The Minnesota Twins are one of the hottest teams in baseball. They beat up on Cleveland 9-3 Friday night at Progressive Field.

Torii Hunter hit a home run, a pair of doubles and a single, while driving in four runs to lead the Twins to the victory. Hunter was just a triple away from the cycle.

He had two of the six doubles the Twins hit in the game. One of Hunter's doubles cleared the bases to highlight a four-run sixth inning.

Kurt Suzuki also had a pair of doubles on the evening. He finished 3-for-5 with a pair of runs scored. Kennys Vargas was also 2-for-5 with an RBI and a run scored.

Mike Pelfrey (3-0) was again the beneficiary of ample run support. This time he didn't need all of it, putting together a quality start on the way to his third win. Pelfrey held the Indians to two runs on six hits over seven innings.

Michael Tonkin and J.R. Graham took care of the rest out of the bullpen.

Cleveland starter Tyler Bauer (2-1) gave up five runs on nine hits in five innings in his first loss of the season.

Phil Hughes (1-4) takes the mound Saturday afternoon against Cleveland's Bruce Chen.
