Vikings place Hutchinson on IR

The Minnesota Vikings have placed guard Steve Hutchinson on injured reserve. The 11-year veteran suffered a concussion December 18 against New Orleans, and wasn't able to play last week against the Redskins. This is the second consecutive season Hutchinson has finished the year on injured reserve.

Hutchinson could be salary cap casualty

At 35 years old, left guard Steve Hutchinson is nearing the end of his career. He's due to make $6.95 million next season. But that's only if the Vikings bring him back.
