Less than a year after the Minnesota Vikings opened up US Bank stadium with the new "Skol Chant" (seen below) tradition, they are raising the bar when it comes to embracing their Viking heritage in 2017.
Last week, Kyle Rudolph, Danielle Hunter, and Linval Joseph visited beautiful Iceland to partake in filming and experience the Icelandic culture in the country where the real Vikings once reigned.
You can check out the full gallery, and read all about their trip at Vikings.com.
My personal favorite moment from the Vikings trip to Iceland is when 6'4" 325-pound defensive lineman Linval Joseph met the 6'9" 441-pound Icelandic world's strongest man, Thor Bjornsson (who also plays "The Mountain" on HBO's Game of Thrones). Linval is one of the biggest players in the NFL, yet he looks tiny next to Thor.

Assuredly, shots of the Vikings players in Iceland will be part of Minnesota's pregame video pump-up montages at US Bank Stadium come fall.
