ICYMI: Twins will scout Tebow baseball workout today in L.A.

From NFL quarterback to pro baseball player? Today is the day as pro baseball scouts get to see, in person, the much anticipated Tim Tebow workout in Los Angeles.

The public is not invited but will get information from media on hand. Reportedly, as many as 15 to 20 major league teams will scout the Tebow workout including the Minnesota Twins. Tebow has been preparing for this workout with daily sessions against former major league pitchers.

ESPN reports that 13 teams, including the Twins, will attend. The others: Yankees, Miami Marlins, San Diego Padres, Cleveland Indians, K.C. Royals, Atlanta Braves, Philadelphia Phillies, Cincinnati Reds, Tampa Bay Rays, Boston Red Sox, L.A. Angels and the L.A. Dodgers.

It's believed that Tebow will shag fly balls, do a handful of sprints including a 60-yard dash and have his arm strength and accuracy tested. Tebow, who played baseball before his college football days at Florida, will also pick up a bat and hit against live pitching.
