It's a new era in the Big Ten with the inaugural season of conference hockey play, and the first-ever coaches poll puts the Minnesota Gophers in second place among six teams.

Michigan finished third and Michigan State tied for fourth in the poll, along with Ohio State.

Which leaves Penn State at the bottom.

Minnesota's Kyle Rau was the only unanimous selection for the poll's "13 Players to Watch."
