Is keeping Ron Gardenhire the right move?

This will be the talker of the Minnesota sports community.

At least until the Minnesota Wild step on the ice Thursday.

Former, current, and future Twins Manager Ron Gardenhire becomes the eighth manager in the history of Major League Baseball to retain his job after three straight 90-loss seasons, and naturally, opinions, and facts, are all over the place.

Here's what they're saying:

Twins Daily takes no jabs, simply stating that history indicates Gardenhire has an uphill battle ahead of him.

Former Twins All-Star and current hitting coach Tom Brunansky expressed his appreciation for Gardy, saying he's thrilled for the 12-year manager of the club.

Fox Sports North believes the Twins have been loyal to a fault in the past, and this move once again shows a certain level of loyalty.

1500 ESPN notes that this move may hurt ticket sales, and that All-Star Game ticket priority for season ticket holders may not be enough to keep fans showing up.

Patrick Reusse wonders aloud (in print?) how bad the Twins are if they didn't feel the need to let Gardy go.

Always opinionated Rant Sports presents both sides of the argument here.

In the end, all that matters is Dave St. Peter's opinion on the matter.
