Nikola Pekovic is quickly becoming a fan favorite in Minnesota. The Timberwolves' center has taken advantage of increased playing time and now he's in the starting lineup. All of that has nothing to do with this video to the tune of "Where in the world is Carmen San Diego?"

Pekovic considering ankle surgery

Nikola Pekovic says he's going to try and play in as many games as he can over the rest of the season, but bone spurs in his right ankle might force him to have off-season surgery. Pekovic has missed four of the Wolves' last five games, and he won't play in the next two games at Memphis and Charlotte.

Pekovic finishes third for Most Improved

Timberwolves center Nikola Pekovic finished third behind Orlando's Ryan Anderson and Milwaukee's Irsan Illyasova for the NBA's Most Improved Player award. Pekovic became Minnesota's second leading scorer and rebound behind Kevin Love. He averaged 13.9 points and 7.4 rebounds per game.
