Angels' starter Jered Weaver threw a no-hitter against the Twins Wednesday night. The 6-foot-7 right-hander struck out nine and walked one. It's the first time the Twins have been no-hit since David Wells threw a perfect game against them in 1998.

The Angels won the game, 9-0.

The only two Twins to reach base were Chris Parmelee and Josh Willingham. Parmelee actually struck out but reached first base on a passed ball. Willingham drew a walk in the seventh inning.

The Twins have been no-hit five times in franchise history. Nolan Ryan, Vida Blue, Catfish Hunter and Wells are the previous pitchers to do so.

Liam Hendriks allowed five runs on nine hits and failed to make it out of the third inning for Minnesota.
