Reports out of New York say an MRI on Derek Jeter's injured quad revealed a grade one sprain, meaning Jeter will miss the entire series against the Twins, via Wallace Matthews of ESPN New York.

Jeter returned yesterday after missing the first 91 games of the season recovering from a fractured ankle. He singled in his first at-bat, but left late in the game when he said the quad "tightened up."

Jeter is a career .323 hitter against Minnesota, who need all the help they can get right now, and his absence will likely force Eduardo Nunez back into the lineup at shortstop with Jayson Nix on the disabled list.
